Questions. and august class feature.

I realise I work really well at night. Be it scrapping, studying reading on working on my never ending task list. I just seem to be able to finish things better when it's late at night and the cycle goes on and on.

Well, its been 2 years and I am quite amazed with my self and how I am able to handle so much and get busy so quickly. For the 2 years, people always ask me: ain't you tired? how do you manage your time? Then they always answer the question themselves most of the time: its your hobby so you sure have time for it.

Truth is, I don't really have much time for anything and it is always a rush from here to there. When I went to laos, though the life is hard (due to the time spend, farming, teaching, weaving baskets, cooking) it seems like the people there had a tough time but they were happy. I guess for me then, it was hard but really managable and you feel like you are in gasp of everything and you spend the time connecting, talking and interacting.

Not that much when you're back in singapore where you are rushing off from one place to another. Seeing each other not physically but through whatsapp and Facebook. It kinda makes things abit superficial and unsincere. Sometimes, I get a scolding: can you be more tactful when you whatsapp or can you be nicer when you whatsapp, or HELLO~~ can you reply? ---- My answer to that is: if its that important, you would have called me or messaged me privately rather than contact me in a whatsapp group because every day I wake up with 11 different group notifications. It gets annoyed and out of the point. Which is why this leads to another thing about my constant coffee meet ups because this is what builds friendship. Not always through connections. And trust me, ive experienced people who is totally different from who they are and what they whatsapp.

And on that note: I would like to thank people who wished me a happy birthday and took the time and liberty to buy gifts for me, spare me the time for a meal and connect with me. Thank you so much.

As many may know, I am taking a hiatus now from my work at papermarket to probably seek for more attractive monetary incentives and also take a break. I asked my good friend to recommend me a job and her response was: "i think you really need a break. Stop looking for one first."
And I guess yea. Possibly to take a break first and see what I can do. But with many things coming up, I guess possibly its a little hard. but we shall see.

I'm never good with names or with faces and can tell exactly where I met so-and-so but i can remember people who makes either a good impression (or sometimes and extremely bad one) luckily most are real good which i dont want to forget myself.

In the last 3 months was sure interesting, different but possibly something I'm thankful for before its where I see real teamwork and how one helps another. Thank you to the staff for really treating me well!

And not forgetting the customers who spend their time. I am glad in that 2 years, I made really nice friends and that quite hard to find.

Here's just a shout out to my next month's class which I grow to love alot. :)

This is my first time writing such a long note and I still have much to say but I'm tired. Its probably time to stop getting overwhelmed and re-look at the pace of life. Focusing on whats important. All on focus.

P.S: leaving on monday morning to taiwan. My break all year. Looking forward to it finally. :) Thanks for reading.

Still trying to hanging in there.

Really happy that this is done. Almost. probably adding a few more stuffs here and there. I would really hope that all of you can see how amazing this thing looks, counting the fact that it took months of planning, 4 weeks of side-tracking (which totally burnt me out), timeless rejections from the facilities management to put this artwork into reality. Interestingly, this artwork made so many glaring eyes and looks that made it worth it. It took really pains to make what seem like a really simple piece of work. I had Shikinn a year 1 student whom I just knew to help create the third piece of which i thought was really magnificent.

This work took real pains to pull through. What had expected to be a 2 hours pieces of work took to an whole afternoon. The funny fact is that I had this played out in my head the whole time before it was set up, thinking about the appropriate steps and things to get for people to help. Expecting loads of friends to help, I was too confident that many would spend their saturday helping me, which is why I am truly and grateful for the people who stayed on and helped me. For that, I would like to thank them, you know who you are. (and i am eternally grateful)

You can see from the picture how diffcult it was and the fabric was still in its second stage of installation. (yes, my mind thought of it in stages.)

In the midst of the time, I even got the medal for a get wet competition for swimming. Enjoyed the fun the social science school has.

Hope everyone had a good week. :D Hang in there. no pun intended. :)

Running.

Its been a long long time since I last ran! Like super duper long! I'm pretty tired up with work and stuffs so yea. partly because I have planned my time to run sufficiently and I lack of a running buddy. and so this year, I signed up for the most important 2 races I wanted to run and I missed. One of it is the passion run 21km which I had a wedding to attend and the other is the sundown 42km which i was totally unprepared for and unwilling to risk so i decided to actually miss it. I still remain skinny but I'm sure i will be able to keep up the running if I'm focus. So this year I got in the Army Half Marathon competitive team! which I'm pretty excited as all is nicely planned for me. I just have to attend the training. No need to think about where to run or have reminders to run every week. But yet, I almost forgot about the important race this year, the stand chart marathon! anyone interested to join me?

Okay. time to focus a little bit on scrapbook. Haha, this is the layout which i did like months back! I totally forgot about it and was lazing to post. I actually intended to scrap about my running/triathlon moments so i had the perfect paper to use! I made the layout using crate paper and I curl the paper to fit my photo perfectly. The selection of photos were pretty hard cause the photos pretty ugly (i mean ME) when I'm tired so it took quite some time. You can see from the left photo, I actually put the paper over my moniter screen to choose what I wanted to print!

The rest was pretty easy, the background has a blob of back paint with really nice brush stokes! Nice! and to make the layout more outstanding i actually drew a nice line around the edge! You can also see that  actually used the photo on the right for my blog headline when i revamped it months back! I stamped my timing on the record card. haha. It's pretty rare for me to compete and even more rare for me to be photographed so this layout is out for display instead of being in an album till I make another page of me running!! Pin It

dreams.

Finishing the competition felt really good. it all over and now's the time to focus and concentrate on studies. During this time, I had enjoyed a couple days off from school, have lunch together as a team and laugh at some of those baldies.

i thought i would say that my nightmares are over, but then again, i was so wrong, prelim starts in 6 weeks, A levels there after. With disappointing results and a boring lifestyle, things aren't the way we want it to be. I just have to work it out and think real positive. For now, I know i can't take one day at a time but to think about and plan for the next and the next next day.

Meanwhile, 18 years of life is reaching. More things to expect from oneself now. Pin It

Not donating old stuffs, money, but...

BLOOD! I'm donating blood! I know its nothing but its really a test of bravery. I could see many giving loads of excuses and avoid the converation or give excuses and disgusted looks when we talk about it.

It was worth the pain to give life to others and I suggest you to do it.

Congrates to sharamine who has done the same thing too! And other brave girls who have done it but couldn't and really did. I am proud of you. And to leo, who has done a brave front and been a comfort in that uneasy situation. Thank you.
To those who did not do what they said or ought to do and question others about the same thing, SHAME ON YOU. To those brave girls I see wanting to donating blood but can't, you already did a huge part in showing others compassion.
here's the picture of me donating blood. and this won't be my only time. The school for once did a good gob in holding such a event. Pin It

Turning 17.

my mood hasn't changed, still feeling quite low. Thanks eoin for cracking a few jokes, hope you'll become a successful waterpolo player. (whahaha!!) In about 1/2 hours time, I'll be no longer sweet 16. Not particularly excited, but very nervous. I don't know why, but I'm just nervous. No wish list and hopeful thoughts cause i know it'll lead to a disappointment. (i wanted to learn guitar, but till now... ) I just want to have a amazing harry potter movie and experience and enjoy the dinner after that as well. I thought of treating myself.... i just love haagen daze ice-cream! I must get them... (hint ...hint ...lol) and of course spending more time together studying and playing with my friends. My only wish is to enjoy myself a bit more and get really good grades in anything or EVERYTHING. (very desperate thought.) Now, I'm wondering loads of things... what more will happen tomorrow after a detailed schedule of my birthday? I wonder.

P.S: GREAT Thanks to the very photographically (is there such a word?) talented Xuyun for taking those photos!

*WARNING: i might write a lot. bear with me.
Concidently, 4 out of the 5 photos i'm posting here are green which was the colour for 'live earth' on 07.07.07 (that's 7 days from my birthday... hint hint..) I then realised, i don't have a single green shirt. (probably looks bad on me) Well, 3 word we gotta say 'answer the call' and not just that act it out. and I recently saw:

US$1,853 is the average value of scrapbooking suppiles the average scrapbooker owns.

wow... been wondering how much i've bought so far and I have absloutely no time to scrap. So much things coming on to me, just makes me feel more and more depressed. I feel like letting go everything after looking my own results. everythings feel so bad around me. its like i'm having no meaning to do anything i'm working on. I can't focus at all. I can't simile, laugh or do anything with pure joy. and i couldn't even get myself to scrap. No meaning or what so ever. Feeling so low. Miss yeo once said... life have its ups and downs. whenever you're feeling really low. you might be at your peak the next moment. but its just not happening to me.

Just thursday and friday, i went for a swimming competition, taking up the challenge for freestyle 50m and on friday, 100m. And boy, the 50m freestyle position i had in wasn't good at all. (the numbers are sensitive to be preview here and certainly, its a large number.) and worse, on fridays, i was disqualified. and i have no idea WHY. Thanks swim mate for your comfort, it did made me feel much better. Perhaps, i should put all this aside.
I constantly ask myself, " Why swimming?" perhaps, i'm tired creating and expressing myself for the past 4 years in art club? (hey, i did had loads of fun.) "Am I just up to it?", "could it change my life" . And it did, it made my life feel worse. being defeated in swimming. Everyone laughed and some utterly shocked when i told them i am in swimming. For all CCAs, I told them with confidence YES. But now, i felt totally at a loss, think that my choices i've made so far was worth it or not.
Just on a happier note: amelene would have been drooling if she was there. EVERYTHING was MILO. The shirts people are wearing are milo, the fan given for the hot day had milo, the barrier had yes, been by MILO. She would have called it 'heaven' when she sees that large cold milo truck come to the pool. The cup we drink milo had the logo, 'milo' and i drank more cups than the picture you see up there. Just to test myself if i still am COLD MILO TOLERANT, and gladly, i could drink many cups of it without running to the toilet. Hmm... should have stolen a few milo shirts and the umbrella (the first photo) or maybe the metal barrier for amelene. LOL!
And here is the people who had competed in the competition. Amazingly nice and fun people to know. and we had 2 relays gong to the finals for today and tomorrow! yay!!!!! Best of luck.
On friday, gersh called suddenly and wanted to meet me and shar that night. I was feeling really low but was so happy to meet them. And we couldn't decided where to go, so we went to changi airport (yes you here me right) to see the planes. but we didn't get to watch any of them. cause we couldn't find the viewing section. we went to a resturant instead. and gersh and I each 'took turns' pouring our feelings while the rest listen. it was a really sad night, listen to each other sad feelings when things just doesn't come your way. and thanks ppl for listening. we all have our problems. (CCA and block tests results stuffs.) just hoping they could depart soon. I watched the departure timings and destinations and just had this great feeling over me to buy 3 tickets to fly off to somewhere and leave everything behind and come back once we got over it. wow. that thought wouldn't happen, but at least it did make me feel better. a bit.

and now, its tuesday... i'm feeling worse than ever.

pre-u seminar.

This is something i would really miss- The Pre-university seminar 2007.
I would like to thank my seminar group 23 for giving me the wonderful 5 days together in NTU. You people really make me smile and enjoy the wonderful jokes together. I love especially the night we made jokes and laugh like crazy.
it came out wonderful when we don't even know a single bit of one another and it would defintely impossible to group us together like this where everyone is of a different school and is able to talk to one another so happily.

The first day was tiring but we did get to interview eric khoo ( as seen on the straits times: Tuesday 22nd may, Home section ) and we had fun racking ou brains together to get the interview done.

I'm really sorry to annabelle for putting up with the nonsense they made.... everyone was sleep like dat also what...)

The panel disscusion was really interesting where i gave puzzles to put the brainy people to the test, we even play werid games! (this including: how many 'maa maa/:sheep jump over the wall? Is this a string? Bang Bang who died? Look at my action closely: woosh, johny johny johny woosh...! what number is this? Why Fuzzy Wazy loves ___ but not ___?)

And thank god, YJC made have made a good effort in putting up the parallel presentation. I really crossed my fingers when the Q &A was ongoing.)

The special project task is sure tiring but fun, we learnt many fun IT stuffs and enjoy ourselves. Totally.

Thanks to kahlilah for the laughter and craziness we had together. (her fav sentence: dun anyhow wack ok!) ferena (so spastic!) shaoyong (sorry lah, sorry lah!)

my dearest SLOs Yang yi, Kahlilah, priscilla (the pure one) thank you for your help, you rock!

I guess the sad part was when we had to leave each other, i would really really miss you ppl like my hwa chong room mate, ZiQiao who made loads and loads of lame jokes. thank you everyone for ur sincere notes you wrote for me, i will always keep it in my heart. I know everyone would be leading different paths, but these memories together can never be forgotten.

But.... we have outing this saturday! Yay! Pin It
