My class this month!

"When inspiration hits you, you gotta create." That's what most scrappers love to say and talk about. When people get writer's block, we get scrapper's block. In those cases, it is tough to make magic, you gotta have the mood and time without external stress elements putting you into a roadblock. That being said, the best part of getting inspired would be to take classes or go out for a spin, or just have your friends for company! Its the encouragement you get from your friends that keeps you pushing. Things get fun sometimes... 

Here's my 2 classes which I will be introducing on today: you can find it on papermarket's blog!

this class started out with the lovely photos I got from my picnic out with friends which I will be sure to use to again for gift to them. It's gotta be a lovely and sweet cause of the photos, I can't believe that using mist, sprays and gesso can make things so sweet instead of the usual grungy brown brown things i sometimes make.

I kept this class since may and it took me quite a while to figure out the ways in to creating the gold transparency. I actually love how the calendar looks when it is closed rather than open! This class will be taught by Bee our new teacher instead of me. :)

Garden Event coming up!

This is really an exciting time as we celebrate singapore greatest and most talented ladies who never fails to wow with their sweet lovely projects and charming personality. This is really exciting time and I'll have to say that I really love love lurrrrve events like this as all the scrappers gather together and create something new and learn something along the way. Not forgetting the fact that we will get to make more friends and catch up with the old ones!

Boy crazy!

It was really fun working with a HUGE assortment of papers and just so much to work with can make you giddy! So I not only made a Layout but also A card and a tag! I just love the group photo together with all of us training and having fun!

 Here's the close ups I took below!

I also made this cute tag with a red robot (which I really love a lot) and added the enamel dots which are just so fun!!! I added the letter O on the robot for my friend Olivia! Hope she is bring it to wherever she goes in belgium! 

I also made a card for her twin sister which you can see on Papermarket's blog! Funny story: she could find the card to bring over there so I'm really glad I took a photo of it for her so she wouldn't forget! Be safe Cynthia! Loads of love! 

I sense a really really really really busy time coming up ahead, cause even though its my recess week now, I am facing loads of deadlines and working with alot of time constraints! But don't worry, I will try to blog AT LEAST once a week so do pop by frequently! (If my daily blog views are high enough, I think it's time for a give away!)

Class sneak peeks for March!

Yeap! Its my designing time again! Being adventurous, I decided to actually to create 6 layouts which I thought wouldn't be too stressful for everyone to create within 3 hours. Here's more sneak peeks for those who are looking for it!

Back for 2013!

It's a bit quiet here lately because of the start of the year laziness and that I am back in the papermarket design team again and working on more exciting stuffs for the new year! Love having fun with these awesome talented ladies who are ever so creative, and as usual, the thorn among the roses!

 I could think of alot of things when the letter comes about other than my name. And it's fun adding so many details into a layout page with one photo. More room to create. One thing that makes me happier would be using things this i have since half a decade ago and some stuffs you probably haven't seen it in any scrapbook stores. But mostly you would realise that studio calico is mostly the stuffs that i like to use now. How i wish I could get more of their stuffs!!!

Gotta also point out the lovely photo that A took of me. Really makes it more awesome.

Anna's Event with papermarket

Had a pretty good time making this layout and just learning the technique to creating a messy fun chunky layout. added loads of mediums and embellishments into it! and i included a signature from the lady herself!

Here's a close up for the layout! Love how I added so much stuffs into it! Great fun!

Achievement Unlocked.

Got another BIGGER assignment to complete when I came back from Hong Kong and was left there even before my exams! Finally its completed. My room was at the peak of its messiness state EVER. I think my friend luke was thinking that scrapbooking is no funny business after he spent an afternoon helping me cut and paste which was actually "simple". But it is glad to have another guy's perspective on how this hobby is more than its superficial level of cutting and pasting with so much involved.

Here's a look at its state and this is actually the cleanest part of my project. I had backache working on the floor and I think i trained every part of my muscle leaping over the boards to take stuffs, reaching over and stretching out to take my scissor, glue and whatever.

I am pretty shocked at how the final design would look like. I even added my own making memories speciality glaze on the title (which you can't see)

I'll have to say that adding the newspaper articles took me time to read especially the chinese newspapers, figuring out whether to add it into the school's history board. Nevertheless, it is major fun working with such beautiful photos. 

 If you see this photo you will realise the amount to fussy cutting I had to do, incredible.

With 2 nights working past 4am, I counted that the amount of work estimated 

2.5 bottles of beacon glue

>45 hours 

60 photos 

80 pieces of cardstock, glitter and pattern paper

400ml of mod-podge

wow.  This is tiring.

If there is like levels of scrapbooking, I would say:

Mambi class!

Been told to do up a mambi class kit for plaza sing this time! Taking on a fun kiddy theme actually made me scrap differently. Adding all the fun stickers and embellishment without thinking so much! Really fun when u use all those punches and stuffs! :D

  This is my favourite layout in this whole singapore series because of the heart shape ribbon and the Marina Bay sands stickers! Super Nice! 

I am extremely lucky to be asked to design the scrapbook kit in order to inspire others to do the same! This month of august is really excited for me as there is so many cool goodies and exciting opportunities for new scrapper and the experienced ones too! (No littering sticker is keeeeeeeeewt!)

 I want to thank grace for lending me her photos in order for me to use the lovely stickers! The more I see these stickers the happier i feel looking at the layout!

I am thinking people will ask: So special eh! Where you get this kind of scrapbook kit one ah?

My two classes for the month of June!

As usual, lot of you have been asking me for a long time if I am designing classes! So for my favourite month, I have designed two classes instead! And what would be most cool about it is that it will be held in two different Papermarket Outlets and also the classes which I decided are so different that you would think it is not designed by me. (or it is done by a bi-polar disorder person)

1. The first class will be held at Plaza Sing Papermarket. Imagine using ONLY studio calico papers (my favourite) and an paper album from october afternoon to create this amazingly graphical layout which emphasises on the art of graphical design and mixes a blend of vintage and modern papers to create this stylish yet classical layouts. Sweet and astonishing!

Here's a closer look:

2.   The second project which is held at Papermarket would be a shadow box/album which is combined together! Using tons of embossing Powder (each gets a bottle home) and also using half a bottle of mica flakes. It is a really cool, tim holtz kind of album with tons and tons of metal trinkets and 3D embellishments!
