Achievement Unlocked.

Got another BIGGER assignment to complete when I came back from Hong Kong and was left there even before my exams! Finally its completed. My room was at the peak of its messiness state EVER. I think my friend luke was thinking that scrapbooking is no funny business after he spent an afternoon helping me cut and paste which was actually "simple". But it is glad to have another guy's perspective on how this hobby is more than its superficial level of cutting and pasting with so much involved.

Here's a look at its state and this is actually the cleanest part of my project. I had backache working on the floor and I think i trained every part of my muscle leaping over the boards to take stuffs, reaching over and stretching out to take my scissor, glue and whatever.

I am pretty shocked at how the final design would look like. I even added my own making memories speciality glaze on the title (which you can't see)

I'll have to say that adding the newspaper articles took me time to read especially the chinese newspapers, figuring out whether to add it into the school's history board. Nevertheless, it is major fun working with such beautiful photos.

If you see this photo you will realise the amount to fussy cutting I had to do, incredible.

With 2 nights working past 4am, I counted that the amount of work estimated

2.5 bottles of beacon glue
>45 hours
60 photos
80 pieces of cardstock, glitter and pattern paper
400ml of mod-podge

wow.  This is tiring.
If there is like levels of scrapbooking, I would say:

Have a jump.

Enjoyed taking a photoshoot with amelene eons ago where we were just hanging around and thinking of something to do after we went on an impromptu trip in the movies in fort canning park. I was actually on the phone and jumping when this picture was taken!

I am considering to scrap this photo! can't wait to see what i can do!!

Meanwhile, I again challenged myself to do the webster paper (super ultra girly with tons of fussy cutting) You cannot believe how much I enjoyed it and suffered at the same time!!!

You can view the actual class sample at the newest papermarket outlet at Vivocity!

Have a great week ahead!

Play hard.

A card I made for my school senior who is an avid triathlete which have completed ironman. Yeah, that really crazy long endurance race. I made a long shot to guess that his favourite colour is green. (I'm basing this on the fact that his shoes are really luminous bright green, but I'm not sure.) Its a pretty long time since I have ever made cards and I had to scratch my head real hard to think of making one in the wee hours at night.

I could find anyone cool muscular looking papers that depict a person running, cycling and running so I actually used his picture in one of his races. (I'm sure its one of his happy moments) Printed it and photocopied on a transparency before doing it.

I looks a little plain before but i actually did added a few more embellishments before calling it a night. Hopefully I will post a photo of it if I have the chance. I just realise you can see the pile of textbooks behind it. :(

Here's a close up of the card. I actually use the ironman logo for the card a well. It made the card look cooler. haha.

All the best to you, eugene lim!

Still trying to hanging in there.

Really happy that this is done. Almost. probably adding a few more stuffs here and there. I would really hope that all of you can see how amazing this thing looks, counting the fact that it took months of planning, 4 weeks of side-tracking (which totally burnt me out), timeless rejections from the facilities management to put this artwork into reality. Interestingly, this artwork made so many glaring eyes and looks that made it worth it. It took really pains to make what seem like a really simple piece of work. I had Shikinn a year 1 student whom I just knew to help create the third piece of which i thought was really magnificent.

This work took real pains to pull through. What had expected to be a 2 hours pieces of work took to an whole afternoon. The funny fact is that I had this played out in my head the whole time before it was set up, thinking about the appropriate steps and things to get for people to help. Expecting loads of friends to help, I was too confident that many would spend their saturday helping me, which is why I am truly and grateful for the people who stayed on and helped me. For that, I would like to thank them, you know who you are. (and i am eternally grateful)

You can see from the picture how diffcult it was and the fabric was still in its second stage of installation. (yes, my mind thought of it in stages.)

In the midst of the time, I even got the medal for a get wet competition for swimming. Enjoyed the fun the social science school has.

Hope everyone had a good week. :D Hang in there. no pun intended. :)

How to make a card.

Recently taught a friend to make a card. Not to difficult to make one!

  1. Choose a base and cut to size.
  2. Add pattern and cut to desire size.
3.  Stick on the papers to base.
4. Add ribbons and embellishments and of course your greetings.

Ta-daaaah! You are done. :D Anyone making one for me?

Lovely scrapbook.

Help out my lovely cousin to do a scrapbook layout for her idol!

The cool factor is that she REALLY gave it to Jacky Cheung. Personally. How honoured I am to help her out. Isn't it nice!

full of love in our city.

Happy august!
This is my favourite layout in this whole singapore series because of the heart shape ribbon and the Marina Bay sands stickers! Super Nice!

I am extremely lucky to be asked to design the scrapbook kit in order to inspire others to do the same! This month of august is really excited for me as there is so many cool goodies and exciting opportunities for new scrapper and the experienced ones too! (No littering sticker is keeeeeeeeewt!)

I want to thank grace for lending me her photos in order for me to use the lovely stickers! The more I see these stickers the happier i feel looking at the layout!

I am thinking people will ask: So special eh! Where you get this kind of scrapbook kit one ah?

*with singaporean accent*

Meanwhile, here was some sneaks of the scrapbook and album kit sample which I made as well. I am really excited to share but must wait lah.... good things must wait one. For more info, do check out the papermarket blog!

SMASH it!

Sorry for the long wait for a new blog post.

Riding on the trend on smash books. Love the idea.

I recently did my smash book which i forgot to post on my blog! Here it is!!! I use quite a lot of funny knick knacks and stuffs to cover the front! Added UTEE in front too! Love it a lot!

Here are some of the pages I did. Tons of doodling and writing. (which i hardly ever like to write on any of my scrapbook pages) and also did quite a few pictures. i printed like 100 over collages pictures (so it should have like 300 individual pictures if I cut them up! Loads and loads to do and there just not enough time!

Really glad to be able to keep doing more and more pages and keep doodling! Busy time ahead I feel. Till next time. :D
