December Class!

A lot of people have been asking me about my next class, so here it is! It has been too long (I Know..) due to school and exam which has been pulling me down a lot just to cope with all these stuffs. Nevertheless, it is totally worth it and makes my daily life more active and eventful. I am going to make sure that its not going to be a stressful class for you so no worries, its gonna be productive!

it's FULL!

Thanks everyone for the great support! last month of Love Me Do class has been FULL from the start! I thank everyone for coming to the class and tell me how much they like finishing it and was amazed at the challenge in making the layout! This layout was getting me whiny because I myself had been challenged in designing it but it was totally worth it! it really shows that it is possible to make 3 layouts (or more with just a pack of papers!)

I regret that I did not take a photo of the layout but you can see it on advertisements almost everywhere in plaza sing! I made my brother and the baby a STAR! haha, I sure want him to pay me for helping his advertise his face everywhere! To be honest, I am really shocked when the photos were like all around the mall! And when I'm flipping through the newspaper, I see it stamped as FULL! It was a busy month for me, having to teach 10 of this classes! Hi everyone! Thanks to those who attended my class on June! I'm glad all of you loved the layout! It's been fun teaching this month's class! I forgot to blog about this month's class! I have designed and will be teaching this class for the month! I'm sure most of you are gonna enjoy this class also! It's called 'Hey Dude' and there is a small story behind the name of this class! I'm sure the people who know this story is giggling right now!!! Haha, but the main point is that this class will be different with all the manly design! haha!

The sp!oosh brochure you see ust a simple project I helped S make for her uni project. My silhouette needs a new blade! So instead we actually cut out all the pieces for the brochure and it still look professional! This is me below actually which I wasn't aware she was taking a photo of me! This reminds me of all the fear and jitters I am getting for my 3 uni camps this month! I'm worried my brain won't start on me when the semester starts.

Running.

Its been a long long time since I last ran! Like super duper long! I'm pretty tired up with work and stuffs so yea. partly because I have planned my time to run sufficiently and I lack of a running buddy. and so this year, I signed up for the most important 2 races I wanted to run and I missed. One of it is the passion run 21km which I had a wedding to attend and the other is the sundown 42km which i was totally unprepared for and unwilling to risk so i decided to actually miss it. I still remain skinny but I'm sure i will be able to keep up the running if I'm focus. So this year I got in the Army Half Marathon competitive team! which I'm pretty excited as all is nicely planned for me. I just have to attend the training. No need to think about where to run or have reminders to run every week. But yet, I almost forgot about the important race this year, the stand chart marathon! anyone interested to join me?

Okay. time to focus a little bit on scrapbook. Haha, this is the layout which i did like months back! I totally forgot about it and was lazing to post. I actually intended to scrap about my running/triathlon moments so i had the perfect paper to use! I made the layout using crate paper and I curl the paper to fit my photo perfectly. The selection of photos were pretty hard cause the photos pretty ugly (i mean ME) when I'm tired so it took quite some time. You can see from the left photo, I actually put the paper over my moniter screen to choose what I wanted to print!

The rest was pretty easy, the background has a blob of back paint with really nice brush stokes! Nice! and to make the layout more outstanding i actually drew a nice line around the edge! You can also see that actually used the photo on the right for my blog headline when i revamped it months back! I stamped my timing on the record card. haha. It's pretty rare for me to compete and even more rare for me to be photographed so this layout is out for display instead of being in an album till I make another page of me running!!

June class is out!

June class schedule is finally out! I'll be teaching mainly my own class SWEET SENTIMENTS and I am incredibly excited! I try my best to ensure everybody have tons of fun scrapping during the June holidays! The layout took me quite a while because I wanted it to be less girlish yet appealing and the end result was GREAT! It took me in the wee hours of the night listening to the radio while scrapping. Quite therapeutic. I was really excited to finish the 2 layouts and I know I would suffer from insomnia if i don't finish it fast! I will also be teaching another class called Love Me Do (which is cute and definitely fun to create!) on Saturdays. (you can read my earlier post to find out)

After 3 weeks of teaching, I think I have learn quite a lot of stuffs about sharing your creative experience and how to create certain things to create an effect. I totally enjoyed and I feel like working there forever! :)

So June time will be a squeezy wheezy time for me as there are tons to do! Right now, I'm thinking of signing up one of Merdrey's classes! probably the 'carousel' or the 'ME-think positive' class! who's with me!

Busy.

I'm not sure if you know by now where I am working at. But I have been really really busy for about 3 weeks now. Learning, teaching, designing and working at the same time. I enjoyed it. A lot. I'm totally in a new work place with babes everywhere. (that's what they call each other) And unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm the MAN. (warning: This blog post has subtle self-praise.) I'm running around different places and teaching different classes which is quite fresh to me and really really fun!

They found me an apron for me to wear which looks like a butcher without his trusty meat knife and chopping board, but since the sharpest thing i hold around there is a smaller craft knife, or maybe a big Martha Steward scissors, I look pretty harmless and clueless to help. So I now proudly wear a badge which i just add on the stickers! *Refer to the first image*

Right now, I'm trying my best to design a class for next month! and I'm excited about the papers I chose and hope that many people is going to sign up! Just a few days ago, I managed to complete my deadline for a event next month! (i was complain or getting whiny, but I was satisfied with it!) I'm pretty sure its gonna be fun (and is really worth the money!) so do sign up for it at the plaza sing outlet!

Ever since I've restarted this blog, I have been busy. I don't what and I don't know why. April just went off so quickly and its already May right now. I'm starting to scrap now and be more active in the scrapbook world, restarting to enjoy the love for scrapbooking. There's just so much things going through my mind right now to scrap and create. there's actually quite a lot of things I want to write but I'm just going to hold on first.
Here's a layout I worked for 1.5months ago which I took just a few hours to make and i absolutely loved it. I hardly do anything to create more layers and dimension. and i started using washi tapes. In case you haven't heard of it, you can see it here and here. These are the links given by my friend who owns like 20 or 30 of it. ( i think the numbers might be and understatement.) It is totally useful because you can use it on ANYTHING and for EVERYTHING. and it doesn't have to empty your piggy bank just to get one. However, the one I use for this layout does cost more because of the brand. You could see the bottom left of the page which i use red glimmer mist to make the tape a reddish colour. To tell you the truth, I only bought 2 rolls because I'm controlling before i get really crazy about the tapes!

Here are the cards I made last year or this year which I kinda forgot or lazy to post, some cards i left out to take photos like wai leong's card which i was very happy when it was completed because it took quite a huge amount of time but went out well. the above card was for Lynnette and the guitar was cut out by my digital cutter.

Also hannah's and lynnette's christmas card which I got them godiva chocolates.But I forgot to take photo of their cards. (where's my christmas presents? just kidding.)

I know christmas is a long way but not only i forgot to post this but i also forgot to give this card to the person! guess who?

A card I made for my dear friends which I made before I went overseas which he is supposed to send me off so i could pass it to him. But in the end, I still managed to send him via air mail. But when it is reached him, he is coming back in a month time! The red die-cut is actually a map of Switzerland done by my digital cutter again! And i decided to save paper and printed a photo to use a frame inside. actually i did not notice it until my other friend pointed out the spelling mistake... as my scrapbook friends always says, never spell late at night!! it will always go wrong!! Done with card making.

I know its been many many many months since i last blogged! so i decided to change the look of my blog, but i can't seem to solve the problem of the pop-up from my blog. can anyone help? Its has also been many months since i done any cards or scrapbook. So 2 months back, but i did manage to do quite a few completed works before I left my national services and made some cards. it took me like quite long because I used computer to make these cards so please don't judge if its not nice! (i was at work at it since 10- 4.30a.m in the morning!!!)

the cards below are for my hardworking colleagues which had photos at the back so its more like a post card and i made use of a leftover cut and painted to get that shape. and i did a 'thank you' stamp with quite a lot of writing which made my hand really painful from all that writing!

the last card here took the longest for my boss, which i had to do quite a lot of painting (which you can't see) I painted the pattern paper with diluted blue acrylic paint because it is just too bright and due to my tiredness and lack of time i decided to just ink the bottom pattern paper instead of painting it (which i bet look better if i did it with painting) the die-cut of the artillery gun also had like 3 coats of paint because i can't decided the right tone for the card. i finished it with a nice rub-on for the words.

Then for rest of the people which I didn't had the time to make cards to express my gratitude for all the help they had to make my life easier and more meaningful, i decided to hold a little steamboat celebration!

Thanks for memories! i am ready to start a new chapter in my life so watch out for more update! (i promise will blog at least once each week!)

I love ice-cream. so very much. It became part of my life. eating it when i'm happy, sad, stressed out or too relaxed. Haha, yes, i'm kind of a ice-cream junkie. These 2 shop brand seems to be the top of the notch in the ice-cream world where people start to rate the no. of special flavours they have. which i totally recommend you to try. I never fail to tell the ice-cream vendor that i finish ice-cream within a month. and with a big spoon. That's it.

These are the cards i made quite a few months ago for my friends for their birthdays. These cards remind me that i'm still in touch with scrapbooking. However, i haven't churn out a scrapbook page for this year and didn't even complete my scrapbook album. perhaps its time to go for lessons now? i need my life back. its really sad now with so many politics that just make me fear to do any political science electives in my future university course. So hard to keep up my own creative life which i slipping away further and further from me. and worse of all, i bought a cutter machine and so far i only made only 2 cards with it, you can see one of it here with the Fred Perry logo. which was pretty tedious. but i think my friend doesn't appreciate it. Oh well, time to jump start my creative life! In the sporty side, i haven't worked out for more than a month! horrible. with half marathon next month and a triathlon following that. Im so dead.

My very first long distance race: the 3km swimathon by Tri-factor at sentosa which was really scary for me as they had make sure you are really competent to swim in the sea which i know i'm totally not when i survive all the while in the camp's swimming pool which basically had nobody in. The competency test was required ad i couldn't find any qualifications that shows that i have swam more than 1.5km which i did before. I got head-on butt and suffered kicks in various parts of the body that i'm embrassed to mention during the time trial. However, the actual race got me pretty frustrated as i couldn't swim in the really straight line and the waves coming in from the side didn't helping much either as i kept drifting out the guiding line. my tongue stings a lot when i finish the first 750m of the race which would be solved with gargling mineral water and the whole cycle happens again in the next round as well as the next. I was kinda intimidated by "professional looking" people wearing real expensive swimming gear but the fear got away once i pass some of them. it shows thats you only need yourself to survive and overcome others in the race. ranked 70 out of 127 in 01:08:57.850.

My 2nd long distance race: the 25km passion run which i ran with my collegues was gruelling. Thank goodness for the waterpoints set-up at different parts of the race. I drowned myself with tons of 100plus to prevent cramps which i know would come once i stop. so i never did once stop and just grab two and ran. Ice mountain water means its a quick drink and a shower over my head. I did test a bit of gastric juices on the race and kept burping as i was really bloated from the water i drank. With high hopes of finishing the race, some posters along the way of ECP didn't help like the one outside the national sailing centre which reads: you think this is hard? Try sailing. But personally, with a wee bit of experience in saling during childhood, a marathon wins hands down on toughness. finished in 2 hours and 27 minutes.

More races to join this year, any interested race companions? (Hence, more broke. Marathons costs a bomb.)

As usual, card making is still the only way to get in touch with scrapbooking. Hope to make more all the time. sigh. Probably need to join some scrapbooking race to complete more projects.

I love watching fireworks so much that i forget to take photos of them. extremely happy for my friends right now as they have finished their poly exams and will be having some off time and deserved rest soon. I miss talking to them and meeting up, its been 3 months already. Being in this job scope is so hard to just take some time off and do enjoy getting together with old friends. this year things are getting way different- unappreciative work, boring chores and routine. Now, i'm on duty serving the country alone on this supposely recreational day.feeling ever so lonely and having so many things on my mind causing sleepless and hopeless when you are drifting away and some random but seemly important thought goes through your mind and wake you up again. I put off posting so many stuffs such that having pretty much nothing to say and this year isn't a postive one to work with, making it all the worse time ever.

This year however, i did something really really unexpected: i am signing up for trialthon and a 3km swimathon with a few half marathons to go as well. A really tough decision that cause yet another sleepness night, but finally i decided that this was the right time. if not now, then when? but my time trail is coming- 24 apr and actual on 5 may which made me a little worried with duties and things to do for the nation. so missing talking to people i missed. driving test this month also makes it more hectic. Hoping to scrap more this year when i get a all-powerful motivating tool (having this tool already have given me insomnia.) Now, i'm just going with the flow. sorry if you don't understand what i'm talking. i'm drifting away again.

...i was helping my friend make a book. its been such a long time since i made a mini book for someone else. I thought it was something i owe it to him since he has been helping back in 2009. This year would be a tough one and more help will be required. the first 2 weeks is quite a ride with sooo many things happening such that i have to prepare myself mentally and physically. I seriously miss creating and enjoying time with my friends. right now, they are already spending the whole day boresighting their equipment as i post this. surprisingly, i actually hoped i could join them to suffer. but i have to choice, they have to suffer overseas only. i have endure this in whatever location. sigh, i feel like killing those that put me in this state like seriously. people see me smiling and laughing, i try to do it the very best i can. but how long can it last? and right now, then is no one i can rant about it because they are all overseas. sigh. my favourite phrase these 2 weeks: something is wrong here. this phrase is constantly off and on in my mind as i explain to whoever, work-related or not. I keep telling some how lucky they are being here and how experienced the rest are, but i just can't seem to convince myself no matter how convinced they seemed to be adter i tell them. I keep seeing the bad side of people there, the mean streak and negative aspects of them, though i try my best to look at the better. i have seen some but seeing isn't making me believe in doing the same way. Oh well, I am doing the PT with them next week.

Stuffs i did while i was sick: reading. there was tons and tons of books i haven't finish but these are one of those good reads that were borrowed, bought and even given as a present. Thanks for the good recommendations and reads i had. especially, the steve toltz novel where i was curious as to why my friends are LOL in the bunk alone while reading the good. and so, it was passed on until i was the 3rd to read it. great thanks to Z.H, will return when i have the time to finish it.

A walk to remember was another great book, i found glenn having the same book while i still had it. The last lecture was provoking in thoughts where i realise that childhood dreams can lead to so many things. and also, one must be real positive about life. I got a lot of brickwalls i have yet to conquer.

one of those stuffs that i forgot to tell you guys about. the spirit of giving last year. while being sick, i managed to select a few good photos and pack them accordingly into albums for my god-mum and my aunt, also a few made for the families of my neices and nephews. I had to the family events at 2009 is sure great and i bet no one wants to forget that. Before i joined the army, i appiled back to my job in MWL and realise that it was a great choice. I enjoyed every single moment of it. even when i was totally stressed out, i knew many people appreciated the help and tips i've given them and i in turn, made a LOT of friends that share the same interest as I do.

I would say that prints is a really good shop to buy from though their stuffs is a little costly, i thought it was worth every penny. I just love the debrossed effect on the outer cover. I also bought these two really simple but nice album from my favourite shop MUJI. That's what photo albums should be all about: simple. Sorry if i'm drifting in and out of topic. My mind and body is in a really bad state because of the things happening right now. its like i've been punished without know what i did wrong. why the hell am i there? my first 5 days was off to a shaky start with no knowledge and such high demand and restrictions cause my collegues and employees. this workplace totally not suited for me, and no reasons why i'm posted there. it seems the human resource personnel who made the decision is wrong. I'll try hanging on for the next few work days but i'm not sure i can quite get it. sigh. i want my old life back.

i made a few cards for my good friends while suffering as a trainee. I took the opportunity to make for them but i forgot 1 person that should thank too! so sorry my friend! give me time, okay? let see, i give you after i ORD?

right now, things are REALLY sucky. back from M.C, and there is many many things to teach and learn, i am pretending i know what i'm teaching but i am kinda unsure! seriously pissed off with people that wants to rage a war with me at the start of 2010.

things like these wouldn't happen. It should be ONWARDS! and so, i am putting in my bestest (there's no such word, only exist in army) effort to teach my men and put in more time to learn from the gun. ha, i am taking note with them and i think they seriously enjoy me being there learning with them. I think it makes them feel like inferior. That's a good thing, hopefully i be less of an ass to keep punishing and talking like a old uncle. I pass the word limit to talk for today by a LOT. more post to come. if i'm free.

Recuperating.

I am quite busy during these few weeks (surprisingly) and staying home has not been an bored "option" for me as there seems to be TONS and TONS of things to do and and i haven't finish them half way yet... at the end of the year there is always things to finish up. So i begin to wrap up the year by starting to burn DVDs for my 13,000 pictures for this year alone. I think i would used up to 9 DVDs for this.
At the end of the year, it is always good to give thanks to your friends. And i gathered my tools early and started making those cards for my great FH friends who suffered with me throughout these 13 weeks. Meanwhile, they will start to enjoy while i suffer for the rest of my army days (or daze). I shall not post those photos of the cards in case they haven't open them yet but here's 2 close snapshots of the cards i already gave my 2 good friends. I love making these cards and it took quite a lot of my time! Hence, i am now quite caught up as i have to prepare for my last week of rest before i gonna suffer.

Ice-cream is my best friend. like seriously, you can go without food and have this because it is just so darn freakin' good! (no swearing... i leave that in camp.) Yep, this is a photo of my real life-saver who has endure with me through thick and thin all these time after my surgery. I am so glad that i had 4 tubs to survive cause cold porridge mixed with mashed potato is sufferable after 4 days with it. More OLD update to come as i realise that i have old posts that have been secretly kept (as in away from my own sight) in blogger so prepare to look at the old times.

Recovering.

Here's how it looks it you want to see the whole picture. I can't talk so typing is a good way now to express myself. I look okay from the outside but actually feeling the pain and i'm living on painkiller making sure that i'm taking them on time if not i'll feel the pain even if i'm not swallowing. hence, the pain is little unbearable such that i'll hold on to something and brace myself while i prepare to swallow.

I woke up early this morning after all the dizzyness to see this note. use tissues! haha... sorry for the blood stains! i'm tired even now, though i feel that i've rested enough. the show glee is really nice to watch during the afternoon and i have pints of ice-cream to eat since the doctor recommended it. (i wouldn't say 'no' to ice-creams) let me rest first and while i sort out the whole fizzy procedure of my surgery.

Uncertainty

Next week is going to be a tough one for me- going to a new unit, experiencing a different feel of the way things would work there, or whether it will be the same as the last time where things are so inflexible, some people are just mean and give you an extra without putting their mind into it. Or you'll see more screwed up things there,with people giving you wrong information and cause you or others into huge trouble and that he doesn't realise it. Loads of sighs now and then as the thought of it just cross over my mind and with so many good people not with me around, it just makes things harder to work out. The book WS lent me was a great read as i suffered througout the course, i could connect to it, seeing how it was hard to be left alone bare in this world. I seriously don't know why i was posted there and the reasons given to me are totally illogical and myopic, just like the last 13 weeks. More to come.

The second thing i'm worried about is the surgery that is happening next week, those tonsils and nose block has been making me sick all the time and almost caused a fever that could send me straight to the hospital. These got to stop, so surgery is the only option. which i have not been prepared yet, as i have no time to think about it and concentrated on the course. i wouldn't how bad it will feel and i probably may need to stay in the hospital after surgery depend on the doctor's orders. sigh.... scarey operation + alone hospital stay. on a side note, i have a e-mail to send which cause me more distress as i feel that problems are going to pile on and people starts thinking that its all my fault. How am i gonna block out or let in? Next week is real hard.

(p.s: 2 cards i made for my dear friends who made the course so much better when there are some jerks around. especially thanks to kk for suffering with me and had endless worries that almost had me a heart attack. more cards and work to be done.)

sorry to keep you guys waiting so long! i was seriously lazy and was totally irritable in these 12 weeks so i had no motivation and time. (note:i have no time again... thanks to the &*^%^ FH course) but after so long i have decided to blog, seeing that you guys have been looking at that stupid 70-300mm camera lens for so long... so i added more lenses for you guys to see! (not that you're bored already) I made this card not to long ago for our sergeant secret as agreed by my detachment members who think that he deserves some recognition for his role as in instructor. Hope he doesn't tell the rest and rub it in their face... opps!
I brought a prime lens and a BETTER zoom lens which i THINK i am statisfied.... the new camera flash excites me like crazy! however, one MAJOR drawback to this flash is that it makes noises! I seriously need to try them out more often...
This with my camera added-on features, i think i'm gonna have soooooo much trouble carrying it! I am just super happy now that my nightmare is over but i'm really afraid the worst is yet to come in my new posting serving the nation. sigh... till then, SMILE, say cheese!

Expired. (things i wanted to tell for a long time)

There are like tons and tons of memories and things i want to write about but as you can see how busy i am once i get home from national service- here's just the gist of it:

1. ZOOM lenses and camera accessories

The lack of money and time obviously only allow me to dream and dream of it only and one dream is to just take tons of photos and capture memories. But more photos = more problem of organising + storing + lack of disk space + increase urgency of scrapbooking. So the camera is put on hold for this moment, so there's no 'zhnging*' of my camera! This camera lens was borrowed from my dad's friend for my passing out parade and was returned promptly to stop me from going gaga over it and getting one in the end. 2. Cycle expeditions

we cycled like mad trying to race at the speed of light in order to curve space-time so as to reach the bicycle shop before our rental time. Somehow or rather, we were a few minutes late that means to say we needed to pay a over-night in which i believed would have been pocketed by those bike rental personnels which almost got me in a fury, fortunately, we so called convinced them to charge us the original extra hour charge. 3. 29 Injections

Crazy me actually agreed to the nurse to do the food allergy not knowing that I had to test for so much food (she said it was average 18 injections only but i got more of it!) The 3 hours procedure was quite a nightmare and got me really groggy after that. I would never want to go through that again. ever. basically, I had to done the food test to determine the food that cause me to fall sick soooo many times in my army term. (specifically, I had to be injected with milk, corn, wheat, malt, soy, egg, baker's yeast, garlic, rice, pepper, apple, watermelon, check, pork, tomato, potato, onion, oyster, mushroom, clove, cumin, Cinnamon, coffee, tea, cocoa and 3 control chemicals) I had food hypersensitivity to (try saying it in 1 breath) malt, egg, baker's yeast, watermelon, pork, potato, oyster, coffee, tea, cocoa. So as S says, I have to live with rice and plain porridge and water for the rest of my life? (OK, 6 months of that-the nurse says. but that would mean ending my life..lol) Avoiding these foods is HARD, so bloody hard. you could say i did these injections for nothing. :)

I just went blog hopping, going through different blogs trying to find out what with their lives right now or just then. I went to find out more about others but ironically, I found myself and that was probably my one time out with this very unique person i find peculiar who always dare to try and want to do. Somewhat i feel the opposite of me, cause i can hardly find myself doing something i'm not confident or have been wanting to try but have not done yet. Thinking of this sometimes makes me feel lousy cause i have the 'I can't' attitude at time and always think that theres someone to push me. Worries of me now and the future is depressing but its something i am not doing about. And so this cycle repeats itself. 'Free like the wind' was what caught me more than myself, i have and i will not worrying and start doing and enjoying the moments now. And hopefully, achieve more than i hope. Thanks to uzy for this picture.

This is a whole new experience in my life being in the army, as i am told specifically to not disclosed any information related to the defence of singapore. I can only tell you that i'm really tired and i need more sleep!!! I just miss sitting at a windy area and enjoy good tea/coffee and reading my book. Hope there will soon be more time for that.

I know i haven't been blogging for quite some time, and that is because i've been working, enjoying and slacking every second i count before i go in to the army. Its kinda weird feeling, knowing you'll be in there for 3 weeks. So I spend my last few days trying ym very best to enjoy and make full use of the time. Hence, we went out on our last night of freedom gathering today and yesterday!!! Thanks guys for celebrating with us!
I climbed up the slope to see the beautiful cityline, thanks M for recommending it! I get to slide down too!
I was browsing through the newspaper to day just to see a familar face: my junior suffers from a condition called aplastic anemia (i hope i got it right) and she needs to find a suitable bone marrow donor and that is like looking for a needle in a haystick, but i'm so glad that she is living in hope and is joyful always! Please help if you can by testing whether you are a suitable donor or not, i have asked for details and will get it posted soon.
In preparation of the army, the fear i have of leaving home is the probabilty of my cousins/friends/whoever touching my precious scrapbook tool and expensive gadgets! Funny or not, I actually locked up anything (this includes my new crop-a-dile!) i fear will go into the wrong hands and put loads of notices in my scrapbook tools drawer and give strict warnings on it. I had an incident long ago, where they actually took out my inkpads and stamp them all over the paper, this of course results in drying inkpads!!! ARGH! So i lock it all up now! This is one of the things i will miss seeing in singapore, lovely sunrise! Look at the colours! Its so beautiful! My cousin and I took the photo while going to pray for my grandparents! well, I will be share my military experience with you ppl in 3 weeks time!!! :)

Playing cluedo just got more hi-tech. And no, the games stays the same(we are not finding the murder through state of the art technology.) But, the process of finding out clues just got more fun! We no longer need to use the dice to move about the different rooms!

You'll see what i'm talking about: I got a new ipod touch joining to my gadget family about a month ago and her name is terylene! Super happy to own this little thing that can serve the net and allow to watch movies and listen to music on the go, what's more, it totally look like a iphone. I kinda pretend it is one! Back to the topic: I installed a roll dice application which you have to shake my ipod to roll the dice. How fun is that!

Meanwhile, I have been good by scrapping and using the papers I have bought to submit a layout for a competition at my workplace. I do not know whether they allow me to post this here, but you can peek at this closeup or choose to go and find me and look at my layout! Haha...

Still, not forgetting that I have a huge mess left at my table and I haven't clear it at all. Plus, you are looking at part of it only! Sigh, where is the technology to put my tools back into my drawer, throw my itsy bitsy scraps away, sort the bigger scraps into my scraps folder by colour and arrange my table nicely? It probably will be up to me then.

well, its been a long time since I've blogged so I'm just gonna sum up my life in this post. Now, I am pretty happy working in my happy place, weekly shipments are like opening presents but you just have to count them to make sure you get the correct number of presents. (that's what I'm thinking whenever I'm doing stocktaking) then, the displaying before the new arrivals day are like showing off your presents and making sure that NO ONE can touch (or buy) them till the right day! Ha ha... but must say nicely of course. (let's hope this involvement in the scrapping scene can so make me scrapbook!) Mum says that i should have worked there earlier since i like it so much. Well, another reason to work now and be really busy with it, would be because of the release of results! It is making me real nervous, so the only therapy is to work and work and work, and cross my fingers too.

2nd layout of the year! I'm a happy though it was like so much simpler than my usual layouts. This seems so much easier though it still isn't easy to start like the last time. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my self working at my most happy place in the world, my friend calls it my '2nd home' and this means i am so much closer to the scrapbook scene! I have been asked by people I know about photography, how to take photos in what setting, what this means and how it affects your photos and the most important question is how did you learn all this. Well, i started learning photography from my secondary school art teacher i owe her much in helping me discover the joy of photography. And the discovery of scrapbooking even boost my love for photos even further as it combines my childhood interest in crafts and new found love for photography.
I am really not an expert in photography and the first time i hold a DSLR (not mine) i did a pretty sucky job as a "paid"photographer from very friendly fellow scrapbookers but i did not give up. Been cleaning my room, and clearing away clutter and organising stuffs and re-cleaning again and painting my door and re-cleaning again till I'm satisfied. Apparently, there is just soo much to do to prepare the Lunar New Year! I don't remember that happening last year because i did not touch any of my scrapbook stuffs due to piling school work. The only thing i did was stuffing in all my notes into the cupboard, away from cleanliness-conscious eyes, and it did look clean that time, but this year it was done more thoroughly and with hard work. I even bought some new stuffs to organise my scrapbook stuffs!

Here's something I had no time to present to you guys until now: A really challenging origami that is made up of 12 pieces! I think its called modular origami, and its fantastic! You can push the centre of the origami to reveal a new pattern and be "pushed" again and again. I'm not very good at explaining how it works but you can see the photo animation i made above and you'll know what i mean! A very special thanks to a very inspiring and good-instructions-follower ex-teacher who never gives up in this kind of fun challenge! It took us around 2 hours to finally get the hold of piecing it together, after that, I could even remember the steps! That's why i did this one in colour paper so it could be seen clearly!

I have more to posts about this exciting new year which the fun together with such a Huge family never stops. (on the first day of new year, I already visited 8 houses! no kidding!)

Exploration.

The trip to getting around Singapore was fun. Initially, Xuyun had planned a whole lot of route on Google Maps and show me loads of alternative routes around Singapore. But, we had a big gap in the viewpoint of cycling as he wanted a more fast on-the-road kind and i definitely prefer the safe-old foot/cycle paths.

He changed his mind and worked out a different route and came out with a "challenge" for himself. Cycle on a unicycle the whole way. A crazy idea but it was interesting to see many heads turn around when we cycle and questions were asked when we stopped. The unicycle have me going nuts whenever he falls and tries to mount as a loud crash could be heard and a huge relief to see him unscratched.

We had loads to see as we were using the park connector which started from my estate and I never ever knew it existed! But its never too late to explore Singapore. An account of Xuyun i took from facebook: "haha oh we just followed the park connector from bishan to kallang, then kallang, anyhow whack. use iPod's maps function to find our way there. End up there, then turn back. Had dinner at Carl's Junior then went back. FUN!!!"

I totally agreed with him! It was totally FUN!! The one thing i need to thank is the power of the itouch! sad that it didn't have a built in compass. Although, the park connector (PCN) is swift easy and fun to travel in, the steps sometimes requires you to travel by carrying your bike. (not good at all) All overhead bridge had a side slope (see the left picture) to assist you in moving your bike up or down, however, there one bridge without that so i had to carry it. But overall, it was fun, even meet with angie, eio and shawn at east coast park. (ECP) Hoping for more trips like this!

Created a nice accordian album for my 2 friends where one of them had a recent birthday celebration. its been super duper long since my last scrapbook attempt (that is, my christmas cards) and I just can't get the energy and spirit started. So this album pretty much got me happy and going. But still, other things needs to be done.

My first time doing an accordian album really, cause i never had the chance to actually do one for myself.

Took me the whole afternoon to make it actually and i had to rush and be half an hour late for the celebration, but still it was totally worth it! I'm glad she totally liked it and some wanted to call me to make one, but i just don't know i can do this good. this make me think of selling cards. Love making them... hmmm... who will buy from me?

Hidden photo slot and flip up was one of the ways to make it better.

Hoping to make more scrapbook layouts and projects soon. I have loads and loads of stuffs to post online. Till then!

I thought this would take after 2009 to recieve but instead it came on the last few days of 2008. Totally anxious to see how this thing costs so much for a book. By far, the most expensive book i have ever ever bought. And it was better than expected to have so great packaging and embellishments. I must say that my favourite author did a great job!

I am still reading more books and lazing around the house without a job. Sigh, frictional unemployment.

new upgrades to paige a.k.a my camera!

Went to Funan I.T mall to look at some stuffs for my camera and a new computer headphones (equipped with a mircophone!) I eventually bought 2 new stuffs: A new polarising filter and a camera romote control which would defintely improve my photo taking skills. You can see how helpful the filter is on helping to reduce the reflected light or increase the intensity of the blues! (these 4 photos aren't edited.)

Who knew remote control can be so fun?

Loads of things happening around me, but nothing particularly interesting or exciting. it just kept me busy and allow me to pass the time faster, though most are not important. And now, a whole new year is ahead of me. I have loads to post as photos are taken and stories to tell. But, i don't know why i am putting this at the back of my to-do list and it has dragged on to 2009. Do wait while i continue to sort out my schedule and start posting important and funny tales i have on my head.

Its this time of the year again. We meet up, celebrate talk, drink and enjoy. Time travel really fast, and soon, its new year already. of course, what's christmas without sending any cards? So i did some cards (only 2 however) but i did enjoy making them and i hope those who recieved them will enjoy it as well.

Meanwhile, getting presents is the hardest part of all! You don't know what the person wants and racking your brain out to find a suitable present that is within your price range isn't easy at all. I'm still looking for though christmas eve is today!!!

Angeline and me went to chill at coffee bean in changi airport while waiting for the busy working man gwee to arrive after his work. Before that, i went to border to use the 30% off to buy the first 2 book of eragon... super happy after that. (my consumer surplus shot up) The story goes back when the cashier refused to let me use the 30% discount after angeline used it for her book twlight. The other cashier told him to give me the dicount, but he refused, I was quite angry and left the book there and told them i was not purchasing it anymore. Then back next day to buy. Sigh, the cashier person isn't too kind and should have been more polite.

Notice anything different about me? Gwee obviously couldn't spot details well, but yes, others did! I am wearing contact lens! Sharmaine looks super classy in that white long top.

Both of us just love pushing the luggage trolley, it totally make us feel that we are leaving the country. Going to the airport every time just make me have the impulse to just make a air ticket and travel out of this small sunny island.We took turn to push the trolley. :)

Waiting and waiting for them to quickly get themselves out of the country. It is just so sad to see others travel while you're stuck here. Meanwhile, I have loads to do, but I'm still slacking!

3rd 4e1 BBQ

The whole thing starts from the preparation where we have to buy the food, marinate them, and checking off a large number of items for the event. It took almost a week to call and confirm the number of people and informing this and that. all these aren't done in a jiffy.
We were glad the expected number of people has arrived for the party! a few even came with the class t-shirt. of course, what's gathering to remember without photos? so we took loads of it.

My precious camera a.k.a paige has like 90% of it event with her in it.

Don suggested a series of photo shots with all the people and the camera start clicking away while we do different poses for each shot, super fun!

This is probably our very last BBQ together see that we have loads to do and some people wasn't making an effort to come. here's the rest of the photos!

After 14 days from the end of a levels was what it took for me to start scrapbooking! And during these 14 days was endless outings, get together, shopping and slacking! But eventually, i am able to start to put things into place. Still, i am not able to free up time to do more stuffs i want to do after 2 years of suffering. Its good to start nice, like this scrapbook layout. Thanks amel for the help!

4e1 clique gathering was totally fun, loads of catch up to do with what we're doing right now and things about the future. I join them the same day as my wisdom teeth exraction surgery, the pain hard to take, but it still it was worth it to meet up with old friends.

A trip back again to singapore's renowned HSBC treetop walk! The view is still as spectacular and beautiful in all direction! it still takes my breath away to be on the bridge look out! we need to explore more parts of macrichite reservoir! But, of course loads and loads of shots were taken from my favourite camera!

This holiday would be more busy but nevertheless, exciting and learn more things! There is loads more things to come! My life is getting a JUMPSTART!

Technically, my a-level examinations are not yet over. I still have one paper left but the feeling of it ending and never seeing that school makes me real happy. So need a rest from 2 years and stress and hardwork. Meanwhile, i'm planning to working and put up a good post-a-level's list where i get to complete the things i need to do 2 years ago. Now, I hope that the time ahead of me doesn't end and i would be able to enjoy the most of it.

It been such a long time since i blogged, though there are loads of photos but these are the ones i'll put up first.

The 2 cards (above): I went home to find that my cousin was waiting for me in my room. Though tired, i managed to get the 2 cards done for her teacher's day card. I so tired, i feel asleep right after finishing, unware of her presence.

Construction NOISE: I so have to say f*** to these ash*** who are building within metres of housing estates and making so much noise early in the morning, starting at 8 and ending at 11p.m!!! You know how freaking idoitic that was?!? Unable to end your sleep later and start your sleep earlier?

It made my room so uncondusive for studying! I totally need to complaint! It totally unglify the land and worse, polluting it with so much constructing vehicles (cranes, trucks) I have an ugly view from my window now. The land was to be so nice, though I don't mind them making it ugly, but the noise is just to much to bear.

I totally need a rest, studying so hard. They say: "JC only 2 years what?!?!" but little do they know, how unbearable it was. And i thought 'hey, its over' But no, looking out my window, I HEAR that i'm still suffering.

Graduation Day

This took me quite a lot of time to take to upload. Since its the last day of my graduation, I defintely have to bring paige/terylene (its my camera name if you still don't know yet) along with me and go all around snapping with people and classmate anywhere possible.
And not forgetting to snap with people i will miss the most, specially thanks to those YJC friends which i have met here and there. Not seeing you people everyday feels really weird. Thanks for making my day in YJ better and fill the empty and boring times in the school.
As usual, YJ live up to its name in being consistently boring and predictable in every assembly or functions possible. The graduation ceremony was nowhere interesting or truly remembered for. Something which happens to this school a lot. One class after another going up to thank was okay but draggy, the lack of performances make it a whole lot worse. Not wanting to make it bad for my dear old college, but its what been in the minds of most students. I am happy to say not everyone in the college is like that, and mainly those are the one who brightens up people day. :)

I think i am defintely going to miss this class for the everyday lessons and lectures. We have been studying, eating, learning and crapping for close to 2 years now. Thanks for making this time a very memorable and more interesting part of my life. Let it shine on you, 219!

I love taking photos with my new CANON DSLR! But such i pity that i couldn't take it around more and spend more time learning from it. However, whenever I have the chance, I would defintely try my very best to take more of life. But its now just studies and me. Oh yes, its name is called: Paige. Though i normally call it 'baby', it turn most heads around when i say that in school and thoughts of me being crazy due to over-studying...lol.

I had some fun trying out my camera by making it work for 6 hours while it connects to the computer automatically an take shots at interval. The result? it makes a really cool 28 seconds video. 6 hours compressed into 28 seconds...really cool. Yes... i have been complaining how sucky my camera was in the past year and then it spolit. which made me real mad over it. But now, let me introduce to me my new love: a canon DSLR. It took me quite some time to register in my mind that I have an semi-professional camera. it's totally cool. I am real happy now... there is nothing to complain excepy about the college and studies. But now, there's load of things to learn from the camera.
More teachers' day cards for other teachers which i could not make it time to give to them. happy teachers' day, teachers. you deserve this day.

meanwhile, my holiday sucked. wasn't really studying or relaxing... and the days just blew away... sigh... i hate going back to that school.

After NOT BLOGGIN for months, here's some photos to jot my memory of what i did or see for the past weeks:
blood donation
The college had another one of its blood donation, but sadly, this time had very very few people as we J2s are having prelims soon. But i'm gald that i went college to study and donated blood too! Oh yes, thanks hannah for being there too!
National DAY BBQ
This phenomenon occured on the beach near our family BBQ pit, it came out as a waterspout which is featured in many local articles about it. The newspapers say that it occur once a while near the singapore shores and is of no threat as it would dissapear when nearing to land. However, this time, it became a realtively weak dustdevil.
And we were shocked that the waterspout change to a"sand storm" instead. Although, it WAS short lived when it reach the shores, but it already travelled about 12 metres from the sea line and look at the amount of damage it has caused. tents were destroyed and people were running away from the danger zone at that time. Stuffs were flying all over. The worst part was that it blew up sand which really hurt and cause sand all over us espeically our hair. Luckily, no one was hurt.
The BBQ resumed again but with more excitement as it was a "chance" of a lifetime to experience a "safe nature disaster" and see how nature fights back sometimes. (a reminder to SAVE OUR EARTH.) When we all started back to our BBQ, the rain came, and we had to stop for a while and quickly put shelter over the pit and protect our food. (my dad is really cool at setting up such stuffs.) When the rain stopped, he came back with a blow torch. And wow, the BBQ was started up really quickly! COOL!
loads to see, the helicopters pass the beach too.
Then, in the evening, there was a raindow caused by the rain in the afternoon and also the setting sun. It was beautiful.
Teachers' Day
I spent like 5-6 hours making teachers' day cards. And I as say, its hard to get back on track when you have lose your handcrafting skill for so many months. But still I managed to get it done!
College celebration was interesting at some particular parts but the sad and irritating part was that there wasn't more of it. And the place wasn't big enough to house all of us.
Sadly, i was disppointed at the general group of people who was laughing at some particular perfomances as some sang off-key (you will miss it if you did not listen attentively) or went a little off-beat.

Meanwhile
making more of the cards to pass on to some of my secondary school teachers which i did not manage to finish and they kinda expecting it.
Also, i think i'm buying a DSLR, but i'm still considering... Canon EOS 450-D really appeals to me. Sigh... to buy or not to buy?

Here's what i got Amelene for her 18th birthday, i thought it looked really exquisite and elegant. first time I ever used such words to describe my handmade cards. Maybe its the way i see it, because this is a really REALLY long time since i have done scrapbooking and card making. Trust me, it looks harder to come up with such a simple idea when you are eons ago making photos on paper. This card really made me quite happy... as all scrapbookers say, its the process.

Sigh, back to life: in all ways to resist the urge to scrap and blog and study, its so focus and enjoy in these tiring times. Finally, stupid prelims its over and its time to focus on the real WAR. Meanwhile, I am gaining so much weight.

GREATEST 18th EVER!!!

After rigorous planning and preparation, i finally celebrated my 18th at fish and co! It was PERFECT. The food was great, the people i want to see is there and the reminisce of past event which easily start a whole new conversation! I totally enjoyed it and I'm sure everyone did too.
This is kinda the most touching part, where i was "tricked" into reading a scrapbook journal and unknowingly, the cake came.... wow....! I didn't want them to say any weird cheers or anything but it was too late. Well, at least i didn't have to stand on the chair or something. The kinda sad part was that there wasn't a live band there, but it was fine without it than i thought it would be.
I was quite hyped i guess....kept talking about the cake, cause its really really good. (its tiramisu btw, real good) Everyone finished the cake! It was so sooo good that I eat it whole!! Okay, enough about it.
What more, i received totally amazing presents that was soooo not on my birthday list. Every single present was so thoughtful that i could not get enough of it. One of it was the scrapbook page. Now, who would make me a scrapbook layout when most of the time, I am doing it for other people? wow... they did it. Another I so have to mention is the Royce chocolates which was brought all the way from suntec! I still left 12 pieces of it, out of 20. Too good to eat!
I would like to thank the people who attended my birthday dinner.... in no particular order or what so ever, they are Sinne, Sharmaine, Gershwin, Raphael, Dean, Alvin, Sopheary, Lynn, Amelene and Angeline!

Finishing the competition felt really good. it all over and now's the time to focus and concentrate on studies. During this time, I had enjoyed a couple days off from school, have lunch together as a team and laugh at some of those baldies.

i thought i would say that my nightmares are over, but then again, i was so wrong, prelim starts in 6 weeks, A levels there after. With disappointing results and a boring lifestyle, things aren't the way we want it to be. I just have to work it out and think real positive. For now, I know i can't take one day at a time but to think about and plan for the next and the next next day.

Meanwhile, 18 years of life is reaching. More things to expect from oneself now.

Mid-year's are really over now. And i thought i could rest are many weeks of studying. but i was so wrong. I have swimming compeition in 3 days time and i have not been swimming regularly. This would be such a tough time for me. meanwhile, i have to start packing up and pick up where i left off in scrapbooking. Not been at it for months. I think totally lost scrapbooking.
And yes, plan for my 18th birthday! gotta make things better for me.... like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

... that is about my life or anything going on right now. so irritated about things going on, with lessons during holidays and with homework more demanding and tests more demanding during these holidays, it's making me go down. I just hate going out and suffering tot he expense of enjoyment of others. The very very werid thing is that whenever i feel real low depending on situations, I don't talk or I talk A LOT. so much that it even gets to me. I'm somehow hiding something (my feelings?) to others. Just trying to figure out how to make my day better. it get better worse... day by day... lesson after lessons.... like one teacher said... I am on a breaking point.
yea... just this is special.... a new family car... no more truck rides.

just feel totally good to be enjoying comfortable car rides and lying down, looking up at the sky.

everyone was resting like crazing to prepare for the race... I wasn't feeling tired so i started taking pictures while many are in their dreams... I made some photos with flashes and wei sinn didn't appear to be disturbed and was in DEEP SLEEP, probably that is the secret formula as to his running postion??? LOL.

Meanwhile, i'm giving myself many reason to why i suck at running, but I know that i didn't prepare or aim to compete with anyone in the first place.

This pic is one of my favourite for the whole event! jesley looks energetic btw. The 4 different house classmates seated together, forming a nice colour swatch!
After the race, our class gather to decide where to eat and relax. The milo truck was nearby though...had about erm.. 10 cups? :)

surprised that amelene wasn't there, or she probably would have drove the truck away for herself...lol.
After the whole thing, my legs were threatening to have cramps and even till now, my calf muscles are aching, walking up or down the stairs is a pain. Food was great and we talked...

Adding to 3 more layouts into the family album! slotting in the photos just takes less than a few minutes, so very easy and time, cost-saving!!! Just add a few rub-ons or sticker and the job is done. It makes me hate to see thick stacks of photos in my transparent photo box and see them into my albums! But, there is no time for such things, with such a tiring lifestyle that makes me really frustrated sometimes. I just have to stop and look. There's just nothing interesting on what's ahead of me and how unbearable it feels to be going though this. I want to stop, but i just can't. One of my cousins hate to see that picture in my first layout. Guess which? LOL.
This layout below is one the most time-consuming piece I have ever done, and it feels a little heavier than the rest of the others too. Today hours off my labour day off doing it and it feels totally great! So good, that in the proccess of thing on how to add on, postion the stuffs, I totally forgot about my phone that is ringing... and realised the missed calls and unread messages by amelene. Gosh...i'm so sorry! Just don't feel like working on labour day..lol. Haiz. my lower back is acting up again. I think i need to get an X-ray! what's wrong with me?!?!?

BLOOD! I'm donating blood! I know its nothing but its really a test of bravery. I could see many giving loads of excuses and avoid the converation or give excuses and disgusted looks when we talk about it.

It was worth the pain to give life to others and I suggest you to do it.

Congrates to sharamine who has done the same thing too! And other brave girls who have done it but couldn't and really did. I am proud of you. And to leo, who has done a brave front and been a comfort in that uneasy situation. Thank you.
To those who did not do what they said or ought to do and question others about the same thing, SHAME ON YOU. To those brave girls I see wanting to donating blood but can't, you already did a huge part in showing others compassion.

The maths trail was quite interesting and challenging, not only you have to gog from campus to campus, you have to solve really diffcult maths questions, some which i had to help them. It was quite fun though, explore the different places in my future school. (i hope!) you can view the gallery here.

Going to the beach in east coast park again really helps to relieve stress from studies. Breathing sea air and cycling around the park cools you down. Just hope we could do that more with more people. Nevertheless, it was relaxing.

Food. Food. Food. I think studying, rushing for homework and all that freaking stupid CCA problems is driving me crazy and putting me to the extent of eating, eating and eating. Some of you might comment that I eat a lot (that's so very true.) but I'm eating EVEN MORE!!! Help... I just weight myself for the blood donation and it was 59 kg!!! (it's today and i'm thinking of tomorrow's food- fish and chips for me!) My stress is going up, my weight is going up. The only thing that might be going down is my emotions.

SIGH... a tough time right now, looking at results. after studying ever so hard for econs, i still failed and the marks is sooooooo close to passing. the inaquate time to study physics to make more time for econs also reap not-as-good-as-expected results. despite passing, GP isn't that comforting either. so frustrating.

pre-u sem album

After so many months, I finally finished my mini album! It took me quite some time using photoshop to create the size for the photos. You can view the uncut photos here. While searching the net for any additional photos, I found one of my team mates in pre-u sem, yingyi who wrote a journal for her school. So, i used her journal as part of my journal for this book as she has captured most of the things that I have forgotten already. Thanks yingyi!! here's the journal below.

The seminar, which started in 1970, is a yearly invitation to youths to engage in the political, social and economic issues that form the framework of Singapore’s society. To start off with, all 601 participants were divided into 30 groups, with each group member hailing from a different institution. Thus every participant had the chance to mingle with and get to know pupils from other schools. Every seminar group was assigned a domain to explore with regard to the ‘quintessential Singaporean’. Squeezing in time for our project into our already packed programme schedule was not easy. As a result, we had to work till the wee hours of the morning.
Panel discussion were making many of us sleepy after the difficult project task which even requires us to incorporate some of the new software by the organizers who supports this seminar. In spite of the lack of sleep, I forced myself to stay awake and listen (at some point of the time).
These discussions, with Members of Parliament and other Singaporeans who were active in the social scene, were really informative. The visit to instana was the highlight of Pre U Sem 2007 and the most highly anticipated programme. For many, it was our first encounter with the elite of the elites in Singapore. It was also our first visit to the grand Istana. The President, along with the other VIPs, mingled with the students and spoke to some. I got to do so too, if you count 'Good afternoon, Mr. President Sir'.
Well, the facilities in NTU were adequate and we had a chance to stay in the university hostel! It was like being a student there already. I had a room too, from Hwa Chong Institution, ZiQiao, quite a famous guy in the group, contributing to great ideas and telling everyone jokes. The group had such fun for the past 5 days, hanging out together.

ahhh..... its after block tests. I went to the library to borrow books and chance upon this book.... 'hack your camera'! reading that title made me stay in the library for 2 extra hours. That book requires you to borrow at the service counter and its thick, so i won't want to borrow it. (they are afriad of people hacking into cameras?) Reading the how-to book, i realised that it helps you to realise that maxmium potential* of your camera (and tell you that JPEG is no good and would cause quailty detoriation. )but it gives no guidence to repair my lose internal camera lens. Nevertheless, I saw that the last chapter had the ipod mini memory card. So I read through and decided to try to "undress" my then fashionable gadget to see its contents. I got the memory card (see below: white thing with the word 4GB Mircodrive) but my memory card comptaible photo printer shows an error message which means i can't use it for protable memory purposes!! arrgghhh!!! But its interesting to see what inside anyway....
P.S: its after the block tests for me, so maybe a scrap a little... look out for some scrapbook layouts and my family album. Also, I had a advertisement inquiry for this interesting forum on almost anything but mostly importantly it lets you rant about your life!!! Rainy Days.

the rainy days are making feel ever so hungry and sleepy. the weather makes it feel like you're in a humid air-con room every time. Not complaining because I'm now at home during the holidays and the rain is a great incentive for me to stay home and study. study. study.

But this is bad in some ways too.... i feel so BORED and hungry! Thinking of desserts all time and there isn't any in the house!!! ARRGGHH!

Thanks to the IT fair, I bought a 2 GB phone memory card but looking at those cameras makes me so sad. I want a new camera!!! But this point of time, I'll have wait for A level to end and start working like mad!
The recent family BBQ was quite nice but short due to the RAIN. Of course, the food is very delicious.
The favourite part of the night (before the rain) was the marshmellows!
The rain got even me and my cousin drenched! Ha... finally got get wet and have some fun! Now, I can only enjoy after the block tests.... :( as they say, JC life is boring.

The most successful outing we ever had!!! We went to the national museum of singapore to view the greek masterpieces and they look really good (in terms of condition) after soooooooooo many years! Its been an interesting time there look at the pieces and the story behind each and every individual masterpieces.
But the sad thing is, my camera is working real bad and despite long hours of charging, it still went dead in less than an hours. Worse, the museum lights are in purple ( i think its on purpose) such that its really hard for us to take any pictures unless we're taking only the pieces.
Here's one interesting photo of william looking into the pot, I got billy to do the same for another piece but he didn't look real enough. but sadly, this photo is too blur!!! I need a new camera!
Here's one of the student docents speaking to us about one of the pieces... but he's really soft, so i started to take some picture of classmates listening intenly....
This two could make it as one of the pieces!!! Eleanor is just so creative and photogenic in which to take many pictures with weird poses! LOL. keep giving loads of funny ideas!

After all that, we went to the fish & Co. glass house (i think that's what's called) to gather together for debroah's farewell party. (i would call it early retirement..lol) We have a super good time and the food taste really really good!!! On a sad note, Deborah is leaving for ploy. But she left a super nice board, hand drawn of all the people in the class except her. :(

I realised my blog has been much less about my hobby... been doing other stuffs for other people and focusing on school work, i found these 3 cards that were made in minutes to give on teachers' day for my secondary school teachers which was not given due to the long college hours!!!
Here's some other "scrapbooking" stuffs... the swim team board for the school... the star pattern paper and paper die cuts by scenic route which is my recently discovered SB company that has really nice stuffs! But its sad to say that no one appreciates hard work in this school.... only want things done, but take no action.... stop demanding. :(

It's bird... it's a plane!

taking the Saturday off from school work and went to the air show with gwee, w.k and yiwei.

The air show is really really good as we got to see many great planes including the BIGGEST commercial plane! We were all like woooh...and waahhh when watching the different planes performing different trips.
The exhibition was super big with different companies show off different parts of their air plane, and polished metal parts that we don't even know what it is for, but i was more like interested in their coffee machine. (one latte please.) at least we head on to the real life size working planes and there is some really cool private planes they've got! (having one on my 21st birthday, I hope..lol)
As usual, my camera is ever so lousy (get me a NEW ONE!!!) and so, during some point of time the lens inside which was lose, fell in place and got reversed, causing this weird but cool sensation that other camera DON'T HAVE! Haiz, I need to comfort myself to stay on with this camera, if not, burn a super duper huge hole on my pocket. So i have to tell myself: so what if its 3.2 mega-pixel and its huge? At least mine can do something other cameras can't.

Our Bid for the Olympics.

In 2 years time, singapore will host the youth olympic games. How cool is that! well, all effort is paid off and I was really surprised to see that so many people (around 50,00) is at the padang to await the moment where the aunnocement is made. It was quite fun actually great performances and motivators to hyper up the place.

I forgot to bring my camera so I only used my phone to take the pics... the atmosphere there was pretty amazing....that's what happens when loads of young people come together.

Sadly, we were placed somewhat at the last row so we couldn't really feel that much of the energy.... but we had fun. I pretty much wanted to stay a little later to have some more fun but many were eager to go home and study.

The video below is taken when the president of the olympics anounnced the news. Sorry for the shaking... caused by the people jumping with joy at the temporary audience stand.

P.S:This college life is darn boring... I feel a little stupid and sad to stay outside of the hall while J1s enjoy (or some don't) the "concert" to wait for them to finsih and have dinner with them. My poor friend was used as a bait to show others that we are restricted. (the school wanted to expel him!) Well, this school have no life at all... I wonder why i managed to stay here and ot go crazy.

Time is tight and everything done is in such a rush that everyday we are rushing and not stop and enjoy the things around you, or thank the person you studying with for the help they have done.

So there's valentine's day. Here's to thank all those who have given me great valentine presents which i appreciate a lot. Thank you. (except for the naughty A who owes me my val present!)

I took some time last night to make some stuffs for people I know and would like to thank. They say sweets and chocolates ain't to be missed on this day. so i went off to NTUC (a.k.a aunty lucy) which i bumped into sinne!!! Haha.... the place was so crowded with students buying presents. Went home and rushed up those presents.

It's chinese new year again! I did loads and loads of cleaning to prepare for this day. This year, due to studies, I had lesser time to clean and arrange my stuffs, but i think my room is quite clean.

And we got a look at some old photos (not my generation) of my elders. Went to Ikea weeks ago. Having my favorite supper....!~ Totally enjoyed myself... walking alone at my own pace, looking at every little furniture or product Ikea has....
Here's one message from ikea I like. That's what life artist is about... Mad about the everyday stuffs!

One other special everyday, working on chemical experiments.... look closely... you'll see that the ash has a hint of GREEN.
This isn't something special but a gadget I use almost everyday and something bad bad bad is happening to it. Somehow the lens is not aligned, causing very huge problems in Zooming in or out and it can't retract its lens.... This can hold for the moment if I don't touch the zoom function but, I guess its gonna spoil soon. I thought fixing the memory card would have ended problems... but i was wrong. how am I gonna live without my trusty camera?

This of course, is VERY SPECIAL. Enjoying my favourite fruit...

....its the everyday.

I was around 20 minslate, but that didn't matter... we are starting at 12p.m anyway... we started early of course (desperately needing to earn profits in order for getting our cost back) we set up quite quickly and started up our stuffs. All busy hanging up the nets and posters or preparing the tables.

Here's one classic that i might never forget. Gilbert (captain of swim team) cross-dressing and also being a target to hit by water bombs! The interesting sign there puts it that he is a GUY, it says, " We are still humans. please do not hit our FACE or VITAL PARTS!" Hmmm.... might want to put this up on the swim team notice board..haha!!

Doing up some posters for our stalls tomorrow! here's one poster that I made last night that took me till late night! It cost me a pinch from sandra to keep me awake from econs lecture! super effective.... pinch me when I'm dreaming! These can were cut into half with the help of my dad, as those children art programmes always say, ask an adult to assist you! The foam stamps by making memories is so effective in making the poster look nice. And the chalk pastels are great too!
Here's teacher William telling us on how tomorrow's operation will be like and we have loads of great prizes to be won!! Cool! There will be games, drinks and cookies! wow!

Games.
The game would be hitting the cans down using tennis balls and it is great fun! Everyone took a turn in knocking those cans down! Look at how smashed those cans are after being hit many times!
Then after 2 hours of wrapping stuffs and making more posters, we went off to Joyce house to make and pack cookies!!! They are super duper nice and they taste nice too. We ate a few while we pack them!

Her house was pretty much filled with our noises, mainly watching TV and playing PSP while waiting for the cookies to cool before packing them!

No link... but they are really a good combination for a smile. Block tests is over and time for some serious studying and s.s.p..... meanwhile... i'll take some rest.

I finally managed to edit my photos to make one photo file to print! So make 4 photos into 1 for print... I did it using photoshop, which cause me a lot of time! (not a familar program i use) Well, it was worth it.
But actually, i did it for the pre-u sem album which has a 5.5 x3" size that i can't print from a normal photo printing shop. and boy... printing them at 5R (6x8") is not cheap. Also, after counting the album many time and thought there were only 16 pages, altering the photos I realised it was 18 pages! so i'll have to print 2 more. soon.

My favourite dessert, Haagen-Dazs ice-cream!!! Got my favourite flavour, tiramsu. (which is also my other favourite dessert) And I finished it within 3 days! A new record! I'm ice-cream crazy i guess! Well, my 2 $10 haagen daz voucher is on the way...woohooo!!!

Sigh, 565, 600 minutes have just passed by and 2008 has come. Which I am sooooo not ready for yet. This year is the year I suffer and suffer and suffer. No joy in life. This year sucks. (I bet it will) Can't really fit in to the school life and people over there. Just study like mad. I need the energy! Below was the first dawn in 2008. You can't see the sun because its blocked by the buildings :( No happiness. no joy. Trying very hard to embrace this year. I want 2008 to end the moment it starts!

Woke up early and cut my freaking long hair. And had my Breakfast this morning... loads of yellow sugar and coconut!

Finally my first mini album completed and the time is very close to the end of holidays. sigh, life sucks. Never mind, at least i did managed to finish one album! Proud of it too! :)

Amel and I was studing at my house and I sent her later to the bus stop. Then, a werid plump Chinese in his 40s kept looking at amelene for a while and then started asking her questions.

man: you secondary what next year?

You JC or ploy then? Poly? Poly?

what subject combinations?

He asked all the questions in a LOUD, unfriendly and werid sort of way in which freaked both of us. We left quickly to the supermarket and away from this man. You can read her account over here. Mind you, I've experienced once in the train when a normal (but crazy) guy came and talk to me, asking to check my bag for his friends leg and refusing to let go! A result of too much sugar in the cup? I don't think so.

On tuesday, we had our second class BBQ! YEAH! Got really tired after the cycle and walking up and down from my house to the pit. The food was really great (good job shar and amelene! Nice beef and fish. And thanks mum!) but sadly there isn't enough food due to some of the hungry uninvited guest.

The bbq pit was set up quite late as they had forgotten to buy the bbq net!!! But they set up the pit really quickly! Thanks to the BB boys for your hard work!
so we managed to have some really good food! and the eating and talking was great! Had a good time talking (criticizing) about leng heng fats! LOL! a usual habit of mine while in secondary school!!
They girls were talking about the pasts and gossiping i suppose . :) Loads to talk and laugh about with them. But amelene didn't serve me chicken wing and food! U owe me! :(
Good times. They have change alot since last year. But i realised nothing changed about me. I am one boring person in a boring movie. Nothing interesting about.

Okay. Amelene! I'm not lazy... I blogged again okay! Lol.

Thursday morning was great, woke up on time. Thanks to my efficient alarm clock(amelene)! Lol.

We cycled to Macritche reservoir park to have some breadfast. But sadly, we have no toast to go along with our eggs. Ben took one that was cooked perfectly and me and amel had eggs that are like almost RAW! arrgghh! not trusting ben with the time again! (we had a little stomache 'egg' later. LOL.)
Later on, we took soem photos up at a top hill. with amazing views and sight and we linger there for quite a while. And then we start our clicking our cameras.

the difference in one's view from the distance makes this photo different from the other.

one is to look at both the photo and the scenery and the other is to focus on the person looking at it.

But I would be glad to say that amelene's photography skills are really good! haha... this shows that the camera or the pixels it haa does not matter, its the person perspective of the object. and this comes with... practise. hear that, Jeff!

Here's another one we took at the bridge by ghafar. I tried by using self timer and then running there (it was quite far) but it didn't work! so we need some help.
the we went to lower pirece reservoir to take some pictures and we sat in the sun for sometime. (which I later become ruldoph the red nose) The view was great. we went ahead to upper pirece despite amelene's constant protest! LOL. And that was be the last time i cycled to so many places at once! ahhhhh!

After lingering there for a while, when gwee and amel where complaining abt my forgetfulness and leaving my camera at the edge. (yes. i admit it.) I took the camera but I missed it and saw it rolling to the water.

I was doomed! The camera was soaked! We had to dry it with our clothes! It didn't work, the screen went pinkish and the viewfinder went blueish! Its a nightmare! I left it in my bag and off we went to upper priece. The slopes made me too tired to even think of the camera.

Here's one we took at upper pirece... regretful that my camera wasn't working at that time. And great news, my camera is alive and well. everything functional!

I was left to use my camera and surpisingly... the photos are really clear and good! And my phone camera is 3.2 megapixel... same as my good old camera. SEE!!! camera doesn't matter...its the person taking it, jeff!!!

regretfully, we didn't take more as i thought the photo wouldn't go well with my phone camera. I was wrong. Now, no doubt about the powers of my nokia 6500 silde!

Here's one amelene took of me climbing trees, it wasn't easy climb them as they were dry and shredding their bark. Miss doing that when we families use to play rounders there!
The perspective is defintely different up there. :)

For the past few weeks, I was busy buying all the materials from different places and printing photos and also, think of the ways to make them. Of course, making for 12 people wasn't as easy as i thought it would though I have done one and help two person complete them too. But 12 wasn't easy. With two whole days of the work (sticking, pasting, stamping, inking), we actually did most of it and it went quite well.

Great thanks to jeff, ken, gilbert, and ghafar for not letting me do this by myself. (would be possible to finish before 2009..lol)

Gilbert wanted everything to unique which almost cause my death! Many was half done and had to be completed and made different in some ways.

In every book however, was a same quote.

The table was a mess, but it was worth it.
also, seniors, we hope you appreciate the album we gave you. Of course it was very very unique.

The Story So Far

Here's the stroy so far. Its the first week of the hoildays and i have loads and loads to do and finish up. My table is in a huge mess with both scrap stuffs and aschool work (though i haven't been doing any YET. Now, I have to pack up my stuffs up and find files for my other subject... *sigh* this table has been messed up for months.
Trying to boost up my scrapping energy but I have only done up the outer cover of two books! I need more time to finish up these 2 books and do layout. Just can't bring the work up. took one whole day to do that small little book you see on the left. Now, I need to complete stuffs! Everything is half done!
Oh yes, thanks to sharmaine for bring the very very important book that i wanted to read ever since i finished reading eragon. Now, I just have to finish this. Loads to finish. Gotta end the story and wait for the 3rd book!

I was trying to finish up the altered letter 'T" that was left in the shelves many many many months ago. And now, getting back to it, i realised... i forgot what the quote i put on the altered letter is. i searched hight and low, looking in places if i have place a note on the quote or on my computer if i made a digital document. But I couldn't find it. you'll notice the parts quotes are there, but actually this is what been left of it.

Walking in the all-green environment is great, fresh air and some occasional animal noises, enjoying the beautiful sights.

Amelene wanted to have some outing and i decided to have the bikes locked up for this trip, so we went on foot to the HSBC treetop walk. it was totally cool as it was after the rain, which makes the journey a whole lot easier.

What's more, she didn't complain unlike others (shall not mention who) during the long 11 km walk. I think its totally worth the walk. And thank god there is a restroom in the park when you need it! LOL!
You could see that she isn't afraid of heights! during the whole trip i was behind her and took most of the pictures at that angle.
I pass her the camera, and she took some of me! Not particualry used to being in front of the camera....
here's a really cool shot... the river reflection of both of us....! and the river water is totally clear and even have small fishes!

some time since i enjoyed... snap photos and blog them. Well, I got promoted! Though the results were borderline... gonna work hard for A's Now!
I am quite lazy, one example would be that these photos was taken on sat and i took the time to blog them. If you have seen Amelene's Blog, you woulfdh ave realised that we went to bike! And i'm so glad to regain my photographic passion! So I snap quite some shots the whole day (60 plus) Gettinga new phone camera is quite helpful too!!!

The strong sun give us sunburn but casted nice shadows! (My face is peeling off now...)

It was a hot day... so we went to icekimo! I wanted to try that for a long long time already! Though i was quite disapointed with the amount of ice-cream and the chcolate fondue that they use.... it looked pretty nice though!

One of those pictures we took while on the way to swim (me and gersh to meet edwin and WK) and amelene off to meet shar for baking stuffs!

AFTER swimming, we met and went off to shar house to bake... everyone helped! Including Shar's sister!
The stuffs tasted quite buttery and our hands had the butter smell after intensive mixing!

We added 3 bars of chocolate for the brownuies! Hmmm... nice!
After coming back from swensen's, We saw the brownies!!! All so nice!!! Baking more on Thurs!

You're never know what you gonna get. A really nice quote i got from the 7gypises pattern paper chosen by the cardmaker. (not me) Well, its really been making me put in with loads of thought into things happening in me this year. I ask myself: Why Me?

This year I have lost, damaged things I been longing for. Just recently, my 27 day old phone (6120 classic) was lost when it drop out of my really big pocket without any awareness. Of course, singaporeans don't return phones. so that's the end to it. (unless you want to count the other lost: my shorts with really big pocket..... in the BIN)

Also, I've damaged my lovely olympus camera... and probably the new one.... and lost one of my 4 NEW rechargable batteries and many more.

Yeah. You never know what you gonna get? Nah. You never never know what you gonna lose.

Opps wait, perhaps that sentence was right....

Welll have been blogging formore than a month.Well, Promo exams are in 10 days time, sot here one thing i need to do. STUDY.No play.

Need to dicipline oneself.

Well, life in YJC isn't really that good. Ms Tan, asked me... why do you all have to complain about your school? well..... that what we do when things aren't worked out the JC system. let skip the rant.
Away from that, these photos are taken from Xyuyun at MWL...an vintage camera finatic who just love the old camera tradition. Mind you, developing the flim is not easy at all..

here's one i took when i used his vintage cam and shoot.... i had exposed 3 4 photos i think... :( and i had many overexposed or underexposed, so the photo quailty isn't very good and guess what? Flim actually expires...wow.... i didn't know that.
